Parvati Kalyanam : Sonnet - 1
Soaring to fabulous heights, as a heavenly sight,
stretching from East to West, as a mighty crest;
Mount Himavat, brought forth delight,
as a motif and gateway, for the sacred quest.
Mount Himavat marvelled, with sublime bliss,
married Mainavati, for ordained dharmic duty;
Angels spoke of, Himavat’s kingdom, with reminisce,
sages flocked to Himavat, as ensigned literati.
Penance to Goddess brought, blessings and joy,
piety bestowed, beloved children, for Mainavati;
Youngest of all, was the revered Nature’s envoy,
dazzled in the kingdom of Himavat, as Princess Parvati.
Shiv Parvati forged, the entire existence,
encompassing time and space, as Nature’s confluence.
